The Nike Mac Attack OG is a must-have for sneaker collectors. Sneakers are not just something worn on our feet. They are history, tell a story, or make us remember a childhood memory. Sneakers and sports are a perfect match, just like peanut butter and jelly. When we think of tennis Venus William, SteffiGraf, Arthur Ashe, or Andre Agassi come to mind. The Mac Attack might make you remember John Mcenroe and his three Wimbledon titles.
The Nike Mac Attack OG debuted in 1984 and was Mcenroe’s signature shoe. When it debuted it was the first of its kind and changed the tennis show game. The Mac Attack went into the vault after making its mark in the sneaker culture. The Mac Attack sneakers made a comeback in 2021 when they were spotted being worn by Lebron James and Travis Scott.
The Mac Attack gets its first-ever retro set drop on June 23rd. It will drop in its original light smoke grey and black colorway. The underlay features mesh done in light grey on the upper and black around the toe box. The overlays feature a smooth grey leather that is a light contrast for the black accents. The tongue tag features a black and blue checkered pattern with Nike branding. Look for this to drop June 23rd at select Nike retailers with a $120 price tag. Stay tuned for more sneaker reviews.
