  • Style Code: DZ5485-008

This is one of the most anticipated drops of 2025. The Shattered Backboards dropped in 2015 and was an instant success. This was inspired by Jersey Michael Jordan wore during a summer game in Italy following his rookie season. During that game he shattered the backboard while dunking.

There have been different retro releases but this version stays true to the original. Underneath is tumbled white leather. While starfish orange dons the leather overlays on the ankle and heel  On the lateral side are the famous debossed wings synonymous with the Air Jordan 1.

Black leather overlays cover the forefoot and eyestays. On the side wall is a Nike Swoosh done in black leather. The sail midsole sits on top of the orange rubber outsole. I expect this one to sell out, but there will be many opportunities to pick them up. SNKRS will have them available in full family sizing with men’s sizes retailing for $180. Other Jordan retailers like Footlocker and JD Sports will have them as well.

That does it for this week’s sneaker release guide. A fan favorite is returning by way of the Shattered Backboards Air Jordan 1s. Nike is giving us an Air Max 95 in SB form. Let us know in the comments which pair you are looking forward to. Until next time check out this Nike SB Dunk Low x Hayley Wilson kick.
