Last week’s sneaker releases were somewhat slow. New Balance dropped a Footlocker exclusive, while Tyrese Haliburton debuted his signature shoe. The long awaited Air Jordan 5 Tokyo dropped and it did not disappoint.

This week Air Force 1 is releasing a couple of collaborations. The Air Foamposite Cough Drop releases again. Shai Alexander’s signature kick gets some new colorways. LeBron drops is 23rd silhouette to mark as many seasons in the NBA. Let’s get into this week’s sneaker releases.

The leather underlays don a smooth leather finish. On the heel and toe are plush tumbled leather. The Swoosh is finished in grey hairy suede for a different take away from the leather. The tongue sports debossed Nike Air branding.

Instead of the usual AF 1 Lace dubraes we get chopstick dubraes. The white midsole moves down to a cupped outsole. These will be available on the SNKRS app via draw. They will be available in men’s sizes and retail for $150.

This is the return of a colorway that debuted in 2007 and has already had one release this year. This time it’s back via SNKRS. The liquid poured upper sports an all black finish with red accents.

Running along the laces is a neoprene finish that continues to the heel. A mini Swoosh and Penny brand sit on the forefoot and heel respectively both in a red hue. The exposed carbon fiber plate adds a nice detail to the red outsole.

Hit up the SNKRS app to cop this retro release. They will be available in men’s sizes and retail for $240. This is a bit high for me so this is a pass.

October 1st Sneaker Releases

Puma Suede Fuzzy

Rubber gum midsole
  • Colorway: Persian Blue and Gum
  • Style Code: 403227-01
  • Retail: $80
  • Where to Buy: Puma

Since it’s debut in 1969 the Puma Suede has been a staple in the sneaker community. From its sleek design to smooth upper this kick fits anyone. This version has the same color blocking as the Dazed and Confused pair released in 24, but with less details.

The upper is made of smooth Persian Blue suede. The iconic Formstrip on the side dons a lighter blue hue. Adding a nice contrasting touch is a textured rubber gum midsole and waffle pattern outsole. On the tongue is Puma branding along with Puma branding on the heel.

One thing I like about Puma is most of the shoes are priced at $100 or less. The Puma Suede comes in at $80 keeping it under $100 after taxes and shipping. They will be available in men’s sizes. Check out Puma online or the app.

October 2nd

Shai 001 ‘Charm Black’

Zippered shroud for the laces
  • Colorway: Dark Matter and Converse Black
  • Style Code: A18977C
  • Retail: $130
  • Where to Buy: SNKRS

The Shai 001 marks the debut silhouette from OKC Thunder and NBA champion Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. The monochromatic color blocking is giving me serious glove vibes.

The upper sports a molded finish covered in black. It sports a low cut collar while the lacing system is concealed underneath a zippered shroud. SGA’s logo adorns the tongue with the Converse Chevron on the heel.

The foam midsole wraps up this kick with Zoom Air cushioning in the forefoot. These will be available via SNKRS by way of a draw. They are available in men’s sizes and retail for $130.

October 3rd

LeBron XXIII ‘Uncharted’

Engineered mesh upper
  • Colorway: Gold, Black, and Multi
  • Style Code: IB9560-900
  • Retail: $210
  • Where to Buy: SNKRS

This silhouette pays tribute to LeBron going into uncharted territory. The 40 k marks his accomplishment of being the first player to record 40 k points. This shoe embodies that achievement.

The upper is a gold engineered mesh upper with an etched diamond pattern throughout. Black stitched details outline the metallic Gold overlays covered in a textured detail. Sitting at the forefoot is a raised metallic gold mini Swoosh.

On the heel is 40k in gold giving a nod to Lebron’s achievement. It comes equipped with a full ZoomX drop-in midsole. The Carbon plate provides additional stability when pivoting on the court. For grip the multi-direction traction pattern sits underneath.

This one is a little steep for me sitting at $210. It will be available on the SNKRS app. This will be available in men’s and big kid’s sizes on October 3rd.

Honorable Mentions

This week is packed full of exciting drops and not everything made the list. Like the Kobe Court Purple Air Force 1. Nike is also dropping Kobe IX Elite Protro in three colorways. Anthony Edwards is dropping his second signature silhouette.

That does for this week’s sneaker releases. I am excited for the LeBron 40k. Let us know in the comments what pair you are going for. Until next time check out the Air Jordan 5 Tokyo.
