Air Penny 1 Recess features a translucent outsole

Afernee “Penny” Hardaway is a former professional basketball player. During his 14 year NBA career he was a four time Allstar. He was selected to the All-NBA first team twice. Known for his unique style of play it is only fitting that his signature sneaker would be no different.

The Air Penny 1 was Hardway’s first signature, but it was not the only shoe he wore. While in college he wore the Converse Accelrator RS1 Hi-Cut. During his rookie year he wore the Air Swift and Air Prevail. It was not until he wore a shoe that was built for his style with the Air Flight 1 that he played in a show bult for him. The Flight 1 features heel and forefoot technology. It is also the only other shoe Jordan played in.

The Air Penny 1 his first signature shoe featured a 180 degree Air cushion in the heel. Forefoot Zoom Air unit and was designed by Eric Avar. The same Avar that designed Kobe Bryants’s shoe.

The Social Status x Recess continues with the same design, but with some slight twists. It features premium nubuck suede throughout. The Penny logo on the tongue with lace locks. The heel sports the Penny and Social Staus logos intertwined.

The box and paper have a school them with hand writing on school paper. It comes with some nice extras that include laces and swooshes. The velcro swooshes have a sports them with football and baseball. The swooshes can be swapped out on the shoe itself. For more on the Social Status Penny check out the images below.
