November 19th mark one of the most significant sneaker drops of the year if not the last five years. It was the release of the long-awaited Jordan 1 Lost and Found. This was a retro release to the OG colorway from 1985, but with a twist. Since this is not a sneaker review and if you want a look at the Lost and Found check out this article. The last time we saw this colorway was in 2015. There were many stories behind this release. So much so that we saw resell prices of $1500.

Throughout 2022 sneaker enthusiasts had to fight botched online and in-store releases. In-person releases were limited by quantities. Also, employees backdooring sneakers for profit. One month before the drop images surfaced on Twitter of people allegedly backdooring these sneakers. This brought back feelings from the Jordan 1 Trophy Room debacle. This along with the estimated stock dropped the resell price.

Bots dominated the online drops. Often times sizes were sold out immediately when the
shoe was released. Other times it would be sold out all together. Prior to the release Nike released a statement saying they increased their bot protection and would put a stop to resellers. This gave everyone hope for a smooth release. That would not be the case.

Login error during th Jordan 1 Lost and Found release

When the draw opened people were unable to enter due to server errors. Other individuals were logged out and unable to log back in. Some people even had their profile information changed. After the drop Twitter exploded with images of all the error messages. To add insult there have been reports of customers receiving moldy shoes. Orders have also been cancelled either from mold or just not being available. Will these sneaker releases get better? Only time will tell.
