This is my favorite and least favorite time of the year. The holiday season is in full swing which means lights and parades. It’s also my least favorite because as the year winds down sneaker releases slow down. Last week’s sneaker releases saw the return of the Air Jordan 4 Black Cat and the Hali 1 in a rose pink hue.

This week’s sneaker releases are strange among other things. Nike is dropping a snakeskin inspired Air Force 1. I am excited about the Christmas or maybe not so Christmas Nike SB Dunk Low. Let’s get into this week’s sneaker releases.

December 1st Sneaker Releases

Air Force 1 Low Protro ‘Lenticular’

Snake skin textured upper
  • Colorway: Light Armory Blue
  • Style Code: II3925-400
  • Retail: $150
  • Where to Buy: Nike SNKRS App

Let’s kick the week off with a Mamba inspired Air Force 1. Deviating from the normal leather upper is the snakeskin lenticular upper. The upper moves between hues of purple, gold, and black for a gradient look.

Glow in the dark Swoosh

White laces compliment the gradient hues accented by silver lace dubraes. The lace dubraes feature the words ‘mamba’ on the right shoe and ‘mentality’ on the left. There is a blue graphics insole with the mamba sheath. On the heel tab is a matching mamba sheath.

I like this one because of the glow in the dark feature on the rainbow Swoosh. These also come with an extra pair of black laces. This Air Force 1 will be available on the SNKRS app. It will be available in men’s sizes with a retail price of $150.

Perfect pairing with dark denim

Sneaker Geeks Styling Tip: the AF 1 is a versatile shoe that can be dressed down with a pair of denim jeans. I prefer a straight cut but not a skinny jean because they will make the shoes look like boats. My favorite fit is a crisp tee and a pair of khakis.

Air Jordan 1 High OG

Elephant print Swoosh
  • Colorway: Sail, University Red, Pale Ivory, Coconut Milk, and Phantom
  • Style Code: IH4363-100
  • Retail: $180 (men’s sizes)
  • Where to Buy: Footlocker and JD Sports

Up next is an Air Jordan 1 giving off autumn/winter vibes. The muted hues make this a perfect sneaker for those snowy walks. Leather sneakers are perfect during the fall and winter months due to their water resistance. This sail colored pair would go great with a brown flannel offering a light contrast to the dark.

Sail colored leather overlays

This particular pair of Air Jordan 1 Highs sports sail colored leather overlays with pail white leather on the side panels.A light grey elephant print Swoosh sits on the side with a matching collar. I like the University Red Nike branding on the sail tongue tag.

Sneaker Geeks Insight: this is a general release Air Jordan 1 drop so it should be an easy pair to cop. They will be available at Jordan retailers like Footlocker, JD Sports, or Hibbett. This will be a full size run with men’s sizes retailing for $180.

December 2nd Sneaker Releases

Nike Blaze Low x Devin Booker ‘Detroit Tigers’

Worn canvas upper
  • Colorway: College Navy and Obsidian
  • Style Code: HQ2054-400
  • Retail: $135
  • Where to Buy: Nike SNKRS App

Next up is the Nike Blazer a pair that I was not familiar with until I picked up a pair. The Blazer is a go to pair that comes in a mid and low cut. I like how the mid cut Nike Blazer pairs well with denim, joggers, or shorts.

Old English script D

This version of the Nike Blazer Low gives a nod to Booker’s home town in Detroit, Michigan. On the lateral heel is that iconic old English D synonymous with the Detroit Tigers. The upper comes in a faded navy blue for a worn look. I like the exposed foam on the tongue adding to the worn look.

Navy blue laces and a sail midsole compliment the aged Obsidian blue palette. The heel tab is synthetic with ‘Book’ in black. If you want this pair hit up the SNKRS app. They will be available in men’s sizes and retail for $135.

This Blazer goes great with chinos

Sneaker Geeks Styling Tip: I like the Blazer for its ease of styling. I would pair this for some slim cut grey chinos, a navy blue tee and hoodie. The gray adds a nice compliment between the navy hues.

Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Krampus’

Cracked leather upper
  • Colorway: Dark Smoke Grey, Campfire Orange, and Black
  • Style Code: HV1668-001
  • Retail: $130
  • Where to Buy: Nike SNKRS App

This year has been a heavy SB one for me. My Nike SB Dunk pick ups include the Hayley Wilson SB and the CSEF x Nike SB. Krampus is one of my favorite holiday movies so I am looking forward to this SB rendition. Krampus comes from Alpine folklore and punishes naughty children during the holidays.

Sporting a dark smoke grey cracked leather upper with orange underneath mimicking smoldering coal. The leather wears away the more you wear it revealing more of the orange. The padded tongue has a quilted look with red Nike branding on the black tongue tag.

Wear away upper

The inside of the tongue is ‘not surprised’ in the red Gothic script. The back tab has Nike branding in orange stitch. I like how the midsole has a cracked finish giving a smoldering fire look. Inside are spooky details with Krampus and Nike SB details.

Sneaker Geeks Insight: Some skate shops had a release on November 29th via in store and online. I was able to grab a pair from Premier Skate out of Grand Rapids. I expect these to go fast but don’t worry if you can’t grab a pair. Nike SB resell is down this year so you will be able to grab a pair for close to retail.

December 3rd Sneaker Releases

Air Jordan 5 x Paris Saint-Germain

Textile overlays
  • Colorway: Off Noir, Particle Rose, Pearl Pink, Sail and Anthracite
  • Style Code: HQ3004-001
  • Retail: $215
  • Where to Buy: Nike SNKRS App

Paris Saint-Germain football club and Jordan are back again with another collaboration. This time PSG is putting their spin on the Air Jordan 5. In the past we have seen PSG collaborate with Jordan Brand on the Air Jordan 1 Low. This Air Jordan 5 breaks away from some of the Mainstays we have come to know from this silhouette.

An all black pallette dominates this version of the Air Jordan 5. On the side panels and toe box is a black textile material for a rugged look. Wrapping around the ankle collar and heel is smooth tonal black leather. The plastic netting side panels are replaced with black suede with the PSG logo.

Premium leather on the collar

Inside the pink sock liner adds a subtle hue of color. The insoles when put together show the Parc des Princes Stadium one of the oldest stadiums in Paris. On the tongue is the Jumpman logo stitched in pink with a matching lace lock below. The iconic shark tooth details are finished in a pink hue as well.

This Air Jordan collaboration will be available on the SNKRS app. It will be available in men’s sizes and retails for $215.

Sneaker Geeks Insight: As with most Air Jordan collaborations this one will sell out. If you miss out on copping this for retail don’t worry. Resell in this is currently at $265 for a 10.5. I expect this to stay the same or drop a little after it is released.

December 4th Sneaker Releases

Air Max ’87 x Stranger Things ‘Steve Harrington’

Grey and maroon suede overlays
  • Colorway: Team Maroon, Neutral Grey, White, Black, and Speed Red
  • Style Code: IM3996-100
  • Retail: $170
  • Where to Buy: Nike SNKRS App

The fifth and final season of Stranger Things debuted on November 26th. Prior to the release Nike released a Dunk Low inspired by the hit Netflix series. Now Nike is dropping a four sneaker Pack inspired by the series. The one pair to keep your eyes on is the Air Max 87 inspired by the pair worn by Steve Harrington.

This Air Max ’87 grey and maroon overlays are accented by white on the tongue and toe box. Neutral grey suede wraps around the eyestays and heel. Maroon suede wraps around the mudguard from toe to heel. A contrasting maroon Swoosh divides the two.

White polyurethane midsole

On the tongue in a nylon tongue with Nike Air branding upside down along with the stitched branding in the heel. This gives the shoe upside down vibes. Inside the insoles sport Nike and Stranger Things in red against a black backdrop.

The all white polyurethane midsole houses the visible air unit. Underneath is a black and white lugged outsole with Nike Air branding. This is a SNKRS exclusive so hit up the app on December 4th grab a pair.

Sneaker Geeks Buying Tip: The Dunk Low release went fast and this one will too. Make sure your notifications are set to alert you 15 minutes before the drop. Have all of your payment and shipping information accurate to eliminate having to update during the release. The drop will be at 10 am EST so be on the app two minutes before the release.

Final Thoughts

That does for this week’s sneaker releases. I am looking forward to the Stranger Things x Air Max ’87. Let us know in the comments which pair you will be going after this week. I was able to pick up the Krampus Nike SB Dunk Low so look for that review to drop soon. Until next time check out this other Nike SB Dunk I picked up.
