November 11th Sneaker Drops

Adidas Harden Vol. 9 ‘UNO’

TPU cage
  • Colorway: Supplier Colour, Core Black, and Flash Aqua
  • Style Code: JS1028
  • Retail: $180
  • Where to Buy: Adidas

NBA James Harden guard is back with a new colorway in the Harden Vol. 9. The UNO version comes from Harden’s phrase ‘Under No One’. This captures Harden’s game play and competitive nature.

This performance basketball shoe sports a black mesh upper with an interior bootie. A metallic silver TPU cage overlays the bootie. The three stripes are these exaggerated arcing cut outs along the side wall.

On the court you will get a full length Light Boost midsole. Underneath is a wavy grip outsole for those quick cuts on the court. Hit up Adidas where these will be available in men’s sizes and retail for $180.

Air Jordan 11 ‘Pearl’

Milky translucent outsole
  • Colorway: Sail, Pearl Grey, Metallic Silver, and White
  • Style Code: AR0715-110
  • Retail: $235
  • Where to buy: SNKRS and Jordan retailers

Up next is another Air Jordan silhouette this time for the ladies. This Air Jordan 11 brings a different take on this timeless classic. The upper sports premium sail colored leather.

On the mudguard is a light pearl grey patent leather giving soft vibes. On the lateral ankle is a metallic silver Jumpman logo. Adding a different look for the Air Jordan 11 is shoellery by way of the pearl accessories. The laces are a wider roper style than the traditional round laces.

The fit on a Jordan 11 is true to size so no need to go up or down. The Air Jordan 11 is comfortable for long wear compared to an Air Jordan 3 or Air Jordan 1. This is in part due to the Phylon midsole and full length Air Cushioning. The light colorway makes this ideal to pair with darker joggers and light grey tee or hoodie.

Check out Nike SNKRS app to grab a pair on November 11th. The Air Jordan 11 Pearl will also be available at Jordan retailers like Footlocker and JD Sports. They will be available in women’s, little kids, and toddler sizes. Women’s sizes retail for $235.

November 12th Sneaker Drops

Caitlin Clark x Nike Zoom Kobe 6 Protro

Reptile like textured overlays
  • Colorway: Light Army Blue, Baltic Blue, and White
  • Style Code: IO3672-400
  • Retail: $200
  • Where to Buy: Nike SNKRS

I got caught up in the Caitlin Clark hype during her time in Iowa. I remember watching the Women’s NCAA Finals between Iowa and LSU. Now that Clark has moved to the WNBA we find ourselves watching more games. Clark’s game play and tenacity are next level and bring something more to the game of Basketball.

It is only fitting that she has Mamba PE in the Nike Zoom Kobe 6 Protro. The light blue colorway is eye catching on and off the court. The micro-mesh upper offers breathability when making those cuts on the court. Now I don’t play basketball but I do plyometric workouts and this shoe is great for those explosive moves and jumps. It offers stability while staying light on your feet.

Zoom Air Cushioning

On top of the mesh is polyurethane made to look like the scales of a reptile. Seeing how Kobe was also known as the Mamba it is fitting. On the side is a painted Swoosh in a Baltic Blue to match the Mamba sheath on the tongue. On the heel is a TPU heel cage. These heel cages offer great stability especially when making lateral moves.

Underneath you will get great support from the lightweight Cushion midsole and Zoom Air Unit in the forefoot. I could only find these releasing on the Nike SNKRS app. This PE Kobe Protro 6 will be available in men’s sizes and retail for $200. This one will sell out so make sure to set your reminders and your alerts are up.

November 14th Sneaker Drops

Nike Dunk Low ‘Off Noir’

Exposed white stitching
  • Colorway: Off-Noir and Summit White
  • Style Code: IO4550-001
  • Retail: $125
  • Where to Buy: Nike SNKRS

This year has been a Nike Dunk Low year for me mainly the SB model, but still heavy in the Dunks. I am definitely excited about the Off-Noir colorway especially as we roll into the winter months. A good black shoe goes with just about anything.

I would style the all black suede silhouette with a pair of denim blue jeans. You could go dark and medium blue, I would not go too light. I would keep it simple with a basic black tee with maybe some white graphics to compliment the white stitching.

Contrasting white midsole

The dark vibe continues with the black and white laces along with the all black tongue tag. On the side is a black Swoosh and black stitched Nike branding on the heel. The white midsole gives a spot of brightness against this dark silhouette.

Nike Dunka run true to size and are comfortable for wide and narrow feet. So if you’re a 10 order a size 10. I wear a 10.5  have flat wide feet and have no problem wearing Dunks all day. For styling tips check out this article. This version will be available via Nike SNKRS app on November 14th. They will be available in men’s sizes and retail for $125.

November 15th Sneaker Drops

Air Jordan 1 Low OG ‘Chicago’

Varsity Red overlays
  • Colorway: Varsity Red, Black, and Summit White
  • Style Code: HQ6998-600
  • Retail: $145
  • Where to Buy: Nike SNKRS and Jordan Retailers

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the iconic Air Jordan 1. The shoe that changed the sneaker universe forever. Even today as an adult I still remember the excitement I got waiting in line for an Air Jordan 1 to release. One of my favorite colorways of this silhouette is the Chicago colorway.

This red dominated kick debuted in 85 and was instantly made famous due to the NBAs ban because it did not meet their 51% rule. Where 51% of a shoe worn on the court had to be at least 51% white. Ever since then the red, black, and white color blocking has been a mainstay in the Air Jordan sneaker culture.

Black wings logo on the heel

The Air Jordan 1 Low ‘ Chicago’ is back after a nine year hiatus. Sticking true to its original release Varsity Red overlays dominate the upper. Underneath is smooth white leather. On the side is a large Swoosh is black leather along with the black wings logo on the heel.

The white midsole sits on top of a red cupped outsole wrapping up this iconic kick. This will be a full size run with men’s sizes having a $145 price tag. Check out the SNKRS app or Jordan retailers like Hibbett or Shoe Palace.
