Last week was exciting for sneaker releases. The Air Jordan 1 ‘Shattered Backboard’ returned after a ten year hiatus. New Balance released a new colorway for their 2010 silhouette. Nike debuted the Air Max 95 but in an SB version. This week’s sneaker heat report will not disappoint.
This week will be just as exciting. Footlocker is dropping a New Balance 1906 exclusive. Reebok is finally dropping some kicks worth mentioning. The Air Tech Challenge II is bringing more heat. Jordan Brand is dropping a couple of 5s. Let’s get into the week’s sneaker heat report.

This version of the 1906 sports a combination of mesh and synthetic leather. Underneath blue mesh gives a nice pop of color against the black synthetic overlays. Accenting the black are pink and green leather curvilinear lines. The N logo is built into the stability webbing for security.
On the back is a black TPU heel cage. The midsole houses ACTVEVA cushioning and ABZORB SBS in the heel so you can rock these all day. This New Balance 1906 will be available in both men’s and women’s sizes. The retail price on this one is $155 and can be purchased on August 28th.
Brain Dead x Adidas Japan

- Colorway: Core Black, Off White, and Warm Vanilla
- Style Code: JQ9214

This is the first Adidas drop I have been excited for all year. Adidas and Brain Dead are bringing us a new take on a classic from the 60’s. If you don’t know Brain Dead is a collective of creative minds from around the world that make some unique designs.
This Brain Dead x Adidas Japan Lo revives a silhouette that is over 60 years old. The upper sports all black nylon. While blue hairy suede in a flame design covers that. On the lateral side are the three stripes and Brain Dead co-branding.
The midsole is rocking an aged look for some vintage appeal. Underneath that a herringbone traction pattern for stability. This unique sneaker will be available via Adidas online or Brain Dead online August 28th. It will be available in men’s sizes and retails for $140.
August 29th
Air Diamond Turf ‘Emerald’

- Colorway: Black, Mystic Green, White, and Golden Tussah
- Style Code: IB224-001
- Retail: $155
This version of the Air Diamond Turf brings back an OG colorway. The Air Diamond Turf was Deion Sander’s signature shoe. This version was originally released in 1994 and had a retro release in 2017.
This mid cut kick sports black nubuck suede on the upper. Covering the suede is white synthetic leather for a crispy look. The forefoot strap is done in white with a large emerald green Swoosh. Underneath the strap is Primetime’s iconic branding in the same green.
The side panels are finished in metallic gold along with the Nike Air branding on the heel. Hit up Footlocker to grab the early 90’s retro trainer. They will be available in men’s sizes and retail for $155.
Women’s Reebok x Clueless Club C 85

- Colorway: Grey, Chalk, and Gum
- Style Code: 100245956
- Retail: $85
This Reebok collaboration gives a nod to the 90’s classic movie Clueless. The all white leather upper is accented by plaid laces similar to Cher’s iconic plaid uniform worn throughout the movie. The pink pom pom hangs on the side just like the one worn on her backpack.
If you’re like me and like extras then you will not be disappointed with the extra sets of laces. The lace dubraes are pearls of course they are not real. The heel is clueless stitched in pink along with Reebok x Clueless co-branding in the tongue.
Hit up Reebok online to grab a pair on August 29th. They will be available in women’s sizes and retail for $85.
August 30th
Women’s Air Jordan 5

- Colorway: Sail, Luminous Green, and Anthracite
- Style Code: IM7592-130
- Retail: $205
This Air Jordan 5 is for the ladies. The upper is dressed up in smooth off-white leather accented by a light green. The netting on the sidewall is replaced with perforated leather.
The tongue is complimented by a luminous green Jumpman logo. This same green covers the sock liner and adorns the 23 on the lateral side. The black polyurethane midsole gets the same shark tooth treatment. Along with the visible air unit.
Underneath is a semi-translucent outsole with the Jumpman logo in the middle. This women’s version of the Air Jordan 5 will be available via SNKRS along with other Jordan retailers like Footlocker and JD Sports. The retail price is $205.
Awake NY x Air Jordan 5 ‘Boro – Racer Blue’

- Colorway: Black, Racer Blue, Metallic Silver, and White
- Style Code: DV4982-004
- Retail: $230
New York based streetwear brand is back again with a Air Jordan collaboration. This time the Air Jordan 5 is getting a new look. Last week Awake dropped this Air Jordan 5 via EQL raffle and it has the sneaker world in a choke hold. If you missed it don’t worry SNKRS is giving us another chance.
The upper is made of tumbled black leather with contrasting white stitching throughout. On the lateral side the netting forms Awake’s A logo in white surrounded by black. On the left shoe is 23 and on the right is NY in racer blue.
The silver reflective tongue sports NY x Jordan co-branding in racer blue. On the midsole is the infamous shark tooth detail along with the visible air unit. Hit up the SNKRS app on August 30th to pick up a pair. They will be available in men’s sizes and retail for $230.
That does for this week’s sneaker heat report. There is something for everyone from NB runners to Reebok’s take on a cult classic movie. Let us know in the comments why you are going after. Until next time check out the Hayley Wilson x Nike SB Dunk Low.
