Until Janauary, I stayed away from the Nike Blazer. That was until I saw the Nike SB Zoom Blazer x Welcome Skateboarding. The sail colorway and translucent outsole caught my eye, and it was a must cop for me.
Before we get into the details of the Nike SB Zoom Blazer let’s talk about Welcome Skateboarding. Welcome Skateboarding is a Spanish skateshop located in Madrid. They opened their doors in 2005 and are credited with bringing Skateboarding back in Madrid.
Welcome Skateboarding values family and having a good time. These SB Blazers culminate their philosophy. The premium sail leather and textured midsole are a perfect combination.
The houndstooth lining and laces provide eye-catching contrast. The braided leather detailing is done in a dark beetroot. The translucent ribbed outsole sports Nike branding on one shoe and a rose on the other.
This was my first blazer, so I wasn’t sure about the fit, so I went with my normal 10.5. It runs true to size, so there is no need to deviate from your normal size. This particular shoe did fit snug around my foot. I had to take my socks off to get a comfortable fit.
I did not realize how much maroon I had until I was looking for something to wear with this show. I picked my Harry Potter sweatshirt and a pair tan Dockers. Overall this is a great shoe and I will be adding more Blazers to my rotation in the future. Check out this New Balance review.
