Sneakers have always been a part of the television and movies. From Farah Fawcett’s Cortez to Jordan XI in Space Jam. Now Joe Fresh Goods is bringing a 990v4 inspired by Belly.
Belly was a movie about two drug dealers that was was released in the late 90’s. It was not well received early on, but has since become a cult classic. Now we have the Joe Freshgoods New Balance 990v4 pack.
The Two Colorways
Peat w/ Pirate Black
The Peat with Pirate Black colorway of the Joe Freshgood 990v4 exudes an earthy sophistication. The blend of peat, reminiscent of rich, deep soils, harmoniously intertwined with the timeless allure of pirate black creates a captivating contrast. This colorway embodies a refined yet bold statement, echoing the film’s gritty yet stylish ambiance.
Marshmallow w/ Pirate Black
Contrastingly, the Marshmallow with Pirate Black colorway evokes a sense of ethereal beauty. The pristine white reminiscent of marshmallows, when coupled with the commanding presence of pirate black, creates a visually arresting contrast. This pairing reflects a balance between purity and strength, mirroring the duality depicted in “Belly.”
Design Elements
Both iterations of the Joe Freshgood 990v4 feature the ENCAP midsole, providing superior cushioning and support. This technology not only enhances comfort but also ensures durability, making these sneakers a perfect blend of style and functionality.
The shoe’s design incorporates luxurious suede overlays, elevating its aesthetic appeal. Underneath lies the subtle gleam of patent leather, adding depth and texture to the overall look. This amalgamation of materials showcases a meticulous attention to detail and craftsmanship.
The Joe Freshgood branding, denoted by ‘JFG,’ is artfully printed on the foxing. The year “1998” is elegantly embroidered on the heel, a nod to the movie’s release year.
