Features elephant print on the toe

The Air Jordan 3 debuted in 1988 and was Tinker Hatfield’s first Jordan design. The Jordan 3 was a completely new silhouette to its predecessors. This Jordan featured a visible air cushion, which first debuted on the Air Max 1. The 3 was the first Jordan to not sport the wings log and Nike Air on the heel.

When the year began there were rumors that Jordan Brand was going to continue with its reimagined silhouettes. This sneaker was going to release early in the year, which meant two things. The resell market was not going to be high as well as the stock. On March 11th the SNKRS draw began with little excitement. Although I was not successful, I was able to secure a pair from Footlocker. There was another drop a few days later via Nike and I was able to secure another pair.

The quality of the tumbled leather is superb

There was a lot of buzz on social media about the quality of the shoes. There were complaints of the elephant print being inconsistent or nonexistent. Needless to say, I was a little concerned. After reviewing both pairs I do not see any issues. Although the elephant print was different it was not as people were portraying it on social media.

Outsole has hints of red and aged white

The pair came in a worn box and featured a booklet with a breakdown of the shoe. The tumbled leather is soft and bright white. The midsole and pull tab is a yellowed white representing signs of aging. There are hints of red on the outsole, tongue, and eye stays. Jordan brand delivered a quality sneaker despite what some had to say. For more on upcoming Jordan releases check out this article.
